Bio – Krista is a native Marylander, born in the Baltimore area and currently attends the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism. She is a senior on the print journalism track and minors in Italian.

 What appealed the most to Krista about journalism was the pursuit of truth. As a curious and social person, Krista felt that she could easily connect with others and meet the demands of the industry. Krista is currently an intern at the office of Congressman Andy Harris in Washington, D.C., doing constituent-based work. In the Summer of 2012, she was a summer web intern WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh, gaining much multimedia experience during the summer of 2012. Simultaneously, she worked at a law firm in Market Square, Caputo and Caputo, P.C., to satisfy her ultimate goal of working in international business law. In the spring of 2012, Krista studied abroad in Torino, Italy as well.

 A lover of tennis, Krista tries to hit as often as possible. Additionally, she will be teaching tennis at the Chevy Chase Club this summer.
