I live with my wife and our two sons in the east Hollywood area of north College Park, Maryland.

I am a founding member of the College Park Day event, where I work with the community groups, local schools and manage the event’s website http://CollegeParkDay.org

I am a four-term Secretary and long term member of the North College Park Citizens Association (NCPCA), where I was involved in building its memberships and helping develop its first website http://myncpca.org.

I am a member of the City of College Park’s Committee for a Better Environment (CBE) and the Neighborhood Watch program. I am also a member of the Sierra Club.

I also write for the ReThinkCollegePark, College Park’s smart growth development blog (see my posts here).

I enjoy helping in a few other community projects. In the past years, I helped organize the Annual Hollywood neighborhood cleanup event, the Committee for Better Environment’s tree planting event, winter clothing drive.

I hold a doctorate degree  in Electrical Engineering from the University Of Manchester, UK. I currently manage a federal project in D.C. and also teach at the University of Maryland in College Park.
