Eytan was born in Washington D.C., but moved to Cincinnati when he was several months old. After moving one more time, to Pittsburgh in 2002, the exile returned home to the University of Maryland in 2009. He chose to attend Maryland because of its beautiful campus, proximity to Washington, D.C., and renowned journalism school.
Now a senior, Eytan has written for several on-campus publications, such as The Mitzpeh, The Munch and Unwind Magazine. Professionally, he worked as an intern at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in the summer of 2012. As an intern, Eytan worked in the online news department, covering workplace related topics such as diversity, technology, staffing and management.
Apart from his journalism experiences, Eytan actively participates in intramural football and basketball. A journalism major with a Spanish minor, he studied abroad in Barcelona in the Spring 2012 semester and loved the opportunity to experience a foreign culture and travel around Europe for the first time.
Eytan is an avid sports fan and particularly enjoys the NFL and college basketball. He is a movie connoisseur and considers himself an expert on little-known movie trivia.
