ReplyPolly, he actually wasn't a police officer at the time of the alleged crimes. According to the criminal complaint, Jared's father was "associated" with the company that Jared said he worked for. His father wrote a letter saying Jared was a full time employee with a salary of $55,000.
What a convoluted affair.

This incident was not reported in the police blotter, so he went to the court house and reported off of official documents - not what he heard. ReplyThat's really too bad that there was enough trash to do that every day. You'd think by now our ideas about trash/keeping the rivers and Bay clean, etc, would have evolved enough so that the streets could at least be kept clean for a few hours after an Earth Day event ...

ReplySusan, I checked in with NTSB about a month ago - they had "no updates," and still have not released a final report. I talked to Steve Lafferty today, he said he hadn't received any updates, but I'm going to check with some other county departments today.
