One Dead, Two Injured in Route 1 Accident
Prince George's County police are investigating the crash in College Park.
Prince George's County police are investigating a car accident in College Park that left one man dead and two others injured early Sunday. A 21-year-old driver, whose name has not been released, was traveling northbound in the 9200 block of Baltimore Avenue when Bernard Coatley Jr., 40, attempted to make a left turn from Delaware Street, but failed to yield, according to PGPD Cpl. Larry Johnson. The cars collided and Coatley Jr. was killed, Johnson said. The 21-year-old driver and one 32-year-old passenger in that car have non-life threatening injuries, but the other 25-year-old passenger was not injured.
