[UPDATE] Small Dog Found in Hollywood Neighborhood of College Park

The dog was described as white with a stain on its hip area.

Update, 4:23 p.m. The dog has been picked up by the Prince George's County Animal Management Division. For more information, call 301-780-7250. Original article: A small, white dog was found Monday morning on Nantucket Road in the Hollywood neighborhood of College Park. He's described as weighing about 20 lbs. and has a pink stain on his hip area. The dog was wearing a blue collar with a leopard print and a rabies tag. College Park resident Jon Rybka-Wachhaus, who found the dog, said he's very friendly and affectionate. He added that he was unable to obtain information immediately on the dog's owner from animal control officials. Washington Humane Society Waives Adoption Fees for Black and Orange Animals

Special Halloween event runs from October 25-30.

  The Washington Humane Society (WHS) is hoping waiving fees on all black and orange animals will inspire people in the DC metro area to adopt an animal, teach it some tricks and give it some appropriate treats, during this special Halloween promotion from Oct. 25-30. This is a frighteningly good deal for potential pet owners as adoption fees are $85 for cats and $170 for dogs.
