Man Airlifted From Duvall Field After Falling From Ladder
The contractor lost feeling in one leg after dropping nearly 20 feet, officials said.
A man was evacuated from College Park's Duvall Field by helicopter Monday after taking a fall of nearly 20 feet, according to Prince George's County fire officials. Emergency personnel were called around 8:30 a.m. to the 9200 block of Springhill Lane in Greenbelt after a contractor making repairs to an apartment building slipped from a tall ladder, officials said. Firefighters and medics from the Berwyn Heights and College Park volunteer fire departments responded to the scene. The man was conscious when medics arrived but told them he had lost feeling in one of his legs, officials said.
