Firefighters from Riverdale, College Park, Hyattsville and Bladensburg are shaving their heads to raise awareness for pediatric cancer research.

Local firefighters will be joining forces Saturday to raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer research by going bald.

Teams from volunteer departments in Riverdale, Hyattsville, College Park and Bladensburg will be fundraising for St. Baldrick's Foundation, which provides money for research grants to cure childhood cancer. Some of these firefighters will be shaving their heads to show their support for the children in need of life-saving research.

Spectators can attend the event to gawk or donate money by purchasing a "Cancer Dislike" t-shirt for $20 or give another amount.
