Curbside Leaf Collection Complete; Weekly Collection of Yard Waste Resumes

Yard waste collection reminders for College Park residents.

Curbside leaf collection with the vacuums has finished for the season. Starting the week of Jan. 2, residents who receive weekly refuse and recycling service from the City of College Park should set out soft yard waste (leaves, grass, flowers, weeds, and non-woody plants) on regularly scheduled refuse and recycling collection days.

Remember:

  • Use paper yard waste bags or reusable containers ONLY, and place at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your regular collection day. Yard waste in plastic bags will not be collected!
  • Reusable containers must display a city yard waste sticker; residents may pick up free stickers at any city building.
  • If you have more than 10 bags or containers of yard waste, please contact Public Works for a special pickup appointment.
  • Keep branches, brush, sticks, logs and bamboo separated from other yard waste; these are collected by special appointment on Thursdays and Fridays. Bundle these with twine or string (no wire), and call or email Public Works to schedule a pickup appointment.
