POLL: Can the Ravens Win the AFC Championship?

The Baltimore Ravens have been dubbed the underdog to the New England Patriots. Do you think they have a chance?

Most of the sports world has dubbed the Baltimore Ravens as the underdogs going into the AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots Sunday.

“I could easily, easily see the Patriots winning this game by 10 points, and I think I’m being conservative here," Skip Bayless said this week on ESPN First Take.

NFL.com's Pat Kirwan predicted a 27-20 win for the Patriots on CBS Sports.

Among the Patriots’ (14-3) advantages this weekend is their home field, which could prove majorly detrimental to the Ravens (13-4). All four of the their losses this season happened on the road.

Ravens’ defense could also be burdened by an Ed Reed injury. The safety rolled his ankle last week in the 20-13 win over the Houston Texans.

And the Patriots have this guy named Tom Brady on their side. The quarterback passed for 39 touchdowns in the regular season, compared to Ravens' quarterback Joe Flacco's 20 scoring strikes. Brady averaged 327.2 passing yards per game to Flacco's 225.6.

The best chance for the Ravens will come down to running back Ray Rice, Kirwan predicted. Rice is the league's leader in total yards from scrimmage.

The Associated Press echoed the importance of the running back's performance in a column this week. The Ravens' top two priorities will be "Run, Ray, run" and "Catch, Ray, catch,” AP wrote.

Early bets have the Pats’ 7-1/2 to 9 points ahead of the Ravens, but Rob Parker said this is "way too high," predicting on ESPN First Take that Sunday will be a three-point game.
