NBC Olympics TV Schedule for Tuesday

On the menu: swimming, water polo, volleyball, and more.

Another day, another 15 medal events at London's 2012 Summer Olympics.

Track and field events—including athletes coached by the University of Maryland's Andrew Valmon—begin Friday, but there's plenty of action in the pool and on the court until then.

Tuesday's lineup includes whitewater canoeing, swimming, rowing, men's volleyball, men's water polo, men's beach volleyball, women's gymnastics, and diving.

10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Canoeing | Men's whitewater final: Tony Estanguet of France, who won the gold in 2000 and 2004, vies for his third gold medal but faces tough competition from 2008 gold medalist Michal Martikan.

10:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.

Swimming | Qualifying heats: Men's 4x200 freestyle relay featuring Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte; other races include men's 100m freestyle and 200m breaststroke along with the women's 200m butterfly.

11:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

Rowing | Quarterfinals, semifinals, and repechages: Rowing events include men's and women's single and double sculls, repechage rounds for women's and men's lightweight double sculls.

11:45 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Men's Volleyball | Qualifying round: United States at Germany —Defending Olympic gold medal champion Team USA is coming off a 3-0 win over Serbia, while Germany fell to Russia, 3-0, in preliminary round action.

1:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Swimming | Qualifying heats: Swimming events include: men's 100m freestyle, women's 200m butterfly, men's 200m breaststroke and the men's 4x200m freestyle relay.

2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Rowing | Quarterfinals, semifinals, and repechages: Rowing events include men's and women's single and double sculls, repechage rounds for women's and men's lightweight double sculls.

2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Men's Water Polo | Preliminary round: United States at Romania from London — Peter Varellas scored three goals for Team USA in a 7-6 win over Montenegro in their Olympic opener on July 29, while Romania beat Great Britain, 13-4.

4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Men's Beach Volleyball | Qualifying round: United States at Spain — Reigning Olympic gold medalists Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhausser of Team USA face Pablo Herrera and Adrian Gavira of Spain in a qualifying round match.

7:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Olympic Zone Show | The local athletes from Washington, D.C. competing in the Summer Olympics in London are featured, showcasing how they have fared leading up to the games.

8:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.

Women's Gymnastics, Diving, and Swimming | Gold medal rounds include women's team gymnastics, women's synchronized platform diving and men's and women's swimming events.
