Citi Open Boasts "Super Tuesday" Lineup

Get caught up on the day's Women's Tennis Association Citi Open scheduled.

After a nearly two-hour rain delay interrupting Monday's competition, Tuesday's forecast looks drier — and slightly warmer for the second day of main draw competition at the inaugural .

  • U.S. player Alexandra Mueller faces Nadia Petrova of Russia at 3 p.m. on stadium court. Jill Craybas (U.S.) will then compete against China's Jie Zheng on the same court.
  • The tournament's top-ranked player, , will compete on the stadium court not before 6:30 p.m. when she faces Ryoko Fuda of Japan.
  • Following Peer and Fuda on stadium court will be American Melanie Oudin versus Austria's Tamira Paszek.
  • Irina Falconi (U.S.) will play Olga Govortsova (Belarus) at 3 p.m. on court 1.
  • American Alison Riske and Eugenie Bouchard of Canada will follow on court 1.
  • Court 1 will then be taken over by doubles competition. Americans Beatrice Capra and Asia Muhammed will play Sania Mirza of India and Yaroslava Shredova of Kazakhstan.
  • Following on Court 1 will be American Jill Craybas paired with Melinda Czink of Hungary versus Alberta Brianti of Italy and Eleni Daniilidou of Great Britain.
  • At 3 p.m. on court 3, U.S. competitor Madison Brengle will play Hungary's Melinda Czink.
