The University of Maryland is auctioning off 10 football jerseys and 10 helmets that were on display at the home game against Miami on Sept. 5. As of 11 a.m. Tuesday, these were the highest bids made.

The jerseys and helmets were not actually worn by any of the players during the game.

Our guess is LeBron James will not be trying get in on the action before that deadline. His Twitter reaction to the uniforms: "Ewwwwww."

Maybe he'd be more interested in a football signed by Coach Randy Edsall, or a Terps script sign, which are also being auctioned. The last days to bid for those items are this Friday and Wednesday, respectively.

The auction opened last Friday, with bidding starting at $500 for the helmets and $200 for the uniforms. The auction will benefit the Maryland Athletic program.
