Yearly Requirements for School Immunizations, Physicals Posted

Each year students entering schools in Maryland are required to receive certain immunizations in order to attend.

The requirements can change year to year, but Prince George's County Schools have listed afull schedule on their website.

The immunizations are required for any child attending school from Pre-K to 12th grades as mandated by federal and state guidelines. Although there are waivers for students who may have a medical condition or because of their religious beliefs, all parents must fill out one formper child attending school.

Students involved in athletics, whether in middle school or high school, must have a physical in order to play. Parents should also fill out a medical card for their student-athlete, which will stay with in the team's medical kit.

College-bound students also have immunization requirements that can be found on their university websites.
