Lady Terps Visit Residents at Riderwood

Basketball athletes met with residents, signed autographs.

The University of Maryland women's basketball team took a break from the court last week to visit residents at the Riderwood retirement community in Silver Spring.

More than 200 Riderwood residents are University of Maryland alumni.

"Residents are avid fans of the women’s Terps basketball and attend many home games at the College Park campus," Riderwood spokesman Mel Tansill wrote in an email.
