This symposium commemorates the Civil War sesquicentennial, during which scholarly presentations of Civil War women will be made.

Keynote: "A Spectacular Revolution in the Border States: Unionist Women for Freedom and Democracy," by Thavolia Glymph, associate professor of history and African American studies, Duke University.
