Voter Registration Deadline Monday

You must be a registered voter by Monday in order to vote in the November city elections.

You must be registered to vote by 4:30 p.m. Monday to participate in this November’s city election, which decides the mayor and council members for the next two years.

Not sure if you're registered? Call the Prince George’s County Board of Elections at 301-430-8020.

Here are the ways to register:

  • Obtain a form by calling 301-430-8020;
  • Pick up a form at any city building, like , or a Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration office;
  • Download a form here.

If you've moved recently you must change your address with the county board of elections no later than Monday.

In order to vote by absentee ballot, one of these must be true:

  • You'll be absent on Election Day from the city;
  • you'll be unable to go to the polling place on Election Day, because of accident, illness or physical disability;
  • you'll be prevented from going to a polling place on Election Day, because of confinement in or restriction to an institution;
  • you'll be unable to go to the polling place on Election Day, because of a death or serious illness in your immediate family;
  • or you're a full-time student at an institution of higher education located outside the city, and academic requirements prevent you from going to the polling place.
