Republican presidential primary candidate and Texas Rep. Ron Paul will hold a town hall meeting in College Park Wednesday evening.

The Baltimore Sun reported that this is the latest in a series of college campus events that have drawn big crowds for Paul but have failed thus far to translate into significant support at the polls.

The event is organized in part by ‘Youth for Ron Paul’ (YFP), launched by the campaign in September 2011.

This is the third Maryland visit by presidential candidates in the past week. Newt , and . The visits are ahead of Maryland's primary day, Tuesday, April 3.

More than twice as many voters in the state are Democrats than Republicans, but Maryland GOP Chairman Alex Mooney told WBAL News that he thinks the state is worthy of the recent attention form Republican candidates.

The town hall meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Ritchie Coliseum at the intersection of U.S. Route 1 and Rossborough Lane. Click here for a voucher to enter at 6 p.m. Walkups and general public admission begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.
