Metrobus Meetings to Review F4, F6 Lines

WMATA looks to gather feedback to improve bus service between New Carollton and Silver Spring along East-West Highway.

The Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority will hold two public meetings, one in Hyattsville and another in Takoma Park, to get rider feedback about bus service along the F4 and F6 bus routes.

It's part of the Metrobus Studies, a review of WMATA and local bus routes designed to identify problems and potential improvements to bus service throughout the region.

Both lines stretch from New Carollton and Silver Spring, meandering through College Park, Riverdale, the University of Maryland, West Hyattsville and Prince George's Plaza Metro stations, and through Takoma Park.

The lines serve about 7,600 riders per day, according to WMATA, making it one of the most well traveled Metrobus routes in Maryland.

The first meeting is on Wednesday, March 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the at 6530 Adelphi Road in Hyattsville. On Thursday, March 22 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the meeting will be held in the Azela Room of the at 7500 Maple Avenue in Takoma Park.

Come whenever you want, too. The meetings are an open format, with no formal presentation, designed to allow attendees to review plans and speak with study officials.

The study began in February and runs through June, 2012. Riders on the line are encouraged to send feedback in to Metrobus Studies for inclusion in their report. Metrobus Studies are taking feedback through email and through an online rider survey, which you can find here.
