Lt. Gov. Brown to Marry at Memorial Chapel Sunday

Maryland Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and Karmen Bailey Walker to wed in College Park this weekend.

Maryland Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and his fiancé will tie the knot at on the University of Maryland campus on Sunday morning, university staff confirm.

Brown's Press Secretary Marc Goldberg said information about the ceremony would not be released until after Sunday.

The lieutenant governor, 50, is marrying Karmen Bailey Walker, the director of government affairs at Comcast, according to her LinkedIn account.

Both Brown and Walker have children from previous marriages. Brown’s daughter, Rebecca, is 17, and his son, Jonathan, is 11; Walker’s son, Anthony, is 12, according to the lieutenant governor’s website.

Brown announced in July of 2008 that he was separating from his wife of 15 years, Patricia Arzuaga, and they divorced in 2009, according to The Daily Record. Walker is the widow of a Prince George’s County Fraternal Order of Police President, Cpl. Anthony Walker, who died in a 2003 car accident, The Washington Post reported last year.
