Purple Line Open House

The Maryland Transit Administration is holding its first of four open houses to discuss plans for the Purple Line at the University of Maryland in College Park.

At the Open Houses, community members can learn about the light rail project, get updated on its status, give input on the project, and find out what will happen next, according to the MTA website.

The Purple Line is a light rail train that will connect Prince George's and Montgomery counties, cutting through College Park and the University of Maryland. The Federal Transit Administration recently approved the project to enter into the preliminary engineering phase, during which conceptual ideas will become more concrete. .
