Education Advisory Commission Looking for Members
City's education committee gearing up for new school year.
The Education Advisory Commission (EAC) is looking to add members to its ranks. At Monday night's meeting, the group discussed members of which it is in particular need (though interested members from all backgrounds are invited to apply):
- College Park District 1 representative;
- more male members and fathers;
- ninth-grade student representative.
The committee will also soon accept nominations among internal members for a new chair and vice chair.
The EAC advises the Mayor and Council on issues relating to education within the city, and members should have an interest and/or expertise in education.
