Council to Discuss Public Transit, Economic Development at Worksession

Tonight's College Park Mayor and Council worksession begins at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall.

Public transportation and economic development are among the agenda items for tonight’s College Park Mayor and Council meeting.

The council will convene for its public worksession at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers of City Hall, following a 7 p.m. executive worksession.

  • is looking to expand its menu and offer liquor-based beverages. The restaurant has submitted an application for a Class B, Beer, Wine and Liquor License. The Prince George’s County Board of License Commissioners will review the application on May 22 in Hyattsville.

  • The council will review an addendum for the final year of an agreement with the AFSCME bargaining unit, which represents a portion of the city’s public works employees. The addendum would provide for a cost of living adjustment and increase the city’s matching contribution to a deferred compensation plan for some employees.   • Staff will recommend that the city council approve a resident’s request to construct a doublewide concrete driveway apron at his property on Vassar Drive.
