College Park: Home of Not One, But Two Farmers Markets

In addition to the Saturday market at Ellen Linson Pool, College Park will begin hosting an additional Farmers Market at City Hall starting this Sunday.

By city standards, College Park is an overachiever. How many municipalities boast not one, but two Farmers Markets each weekend?

On Sunday, College Park will hold its first Farmers Market in the parking lot of City Hall. There will be four vendors to start, selling such staples as as fruits, veggies and baked goods, but the city hopes to expand the market over time to include even more (the Riverdale Park Farmers Market has a ! We're optimistic that College Park will someday follow suit.)

Stop by between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. and knock out some of your grocery shopping for the week while enjoying the outdoors. For those who can't make it, we'll post a short profile on each vendor - along with photos of their inventory - on Sunday evening.

If you're more inclined to shop on a Saturday, the long-running Farmers Market remains perfectly intact in the parking lot of Ellen Linson Pool from 7 a.m. until noon.
