Branchville Volunteer Assistant Fire Chief Completes International Professional Designation Process

Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Dickey became one of only 770 Chief Fire Officer's in the world.

Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Dickey of the Branchville Volunteer Fire Department was officially awarded the designation of Chief Fire Officer (CFO).

According to a statement from the Prince George's County Fire Department, Dickey is one of only 770 CFO's worldwide.

The process to earn the CFO designation includes an assessment of the applicant’s education, experience, professional development, technical competencies, contributions to the profession, and community involvement. In addition, all applicants are required to identify a future professional development plan.

Dickey has been a member of the Branchville Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad for 11 years and is currently residing in Bowie.
