Where Are the Cops? Look on Top of Dunkin' Donuts.

University of Maryland police to participate in "Cops on Rooftops" Special Olympics fundraiser.

University of Maryland police will embrace their donut-loving stereotype in a unique way this weekend. Three officers will be hanging out on the roof of Dunkin' Donuts in College Park as part of a Special Olympics Maryland fundraiser.

Other officers will have their feet on the ground inside and outside the shop, collecting donations from customers. The department hopes to raise $5,000. Last year, law enforcement raised $30,000 at five Dunkin' Donuts locations statewide.

Funds will go toward the Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics, which aims to raise funds and awareness for the Special Olympics movement worldwide, according to the website.
