The Prince George’s County Police Department arrested a Washington, D.C. man Tuesday in connection to last week’s Shanghai Tokyo strong-armed robbery, according to a PGPD press release.

Police arrested James Lakeen Turner, 18, of the 400 block of Lebaum Street, around 7:20 p.m. after a brief chase on foot. He later confessed his involvement in the crime, according to police.

The arrest comes five days after the theft, in which a purse and iPhone were snatched from a diner at the restaurant around 4 p.m.  According to restaurant spokesman Dave Baker, the woman was sitting quietly in the restaurant wearing headphones.
