At 2:24 a.m., the school's Department of Public Safety issued a bulletin warning of a possible armed individual in the area of West Park Drive and University Boulevard.

Officials later reported that two men had been spotted running away from campus towards 25th Avenue.

An all-clear was eventually issued at 3:10 a.m. after "thorough checks of the area" by university and Prince George's County police.
