Two Separate Armed Robberies Occur in College Park

Robberies happened within minutes of each other Monday night

Two armed robberies occurred within minutes of one another Monday night in College Park.

The first robbery was reported at 10:25 p.m. on the 9400 block of Osage Street, near the hiker-biker trail. According to a crime report issued by the University of Maryland, two victims, one of whom is a College Park resident, were walking along the hiker-biker trail when they noticed some people in the park on Lakeland Road. The victims paid little attention to the people in the park, and continued on their way. As they reached the end of the trail, two suspects approached the victims from behind and pointed a gun at one of the victim's head. The suspects ordered the victims not to look at the suspects, and proceeded to remove the both victim's cell phones and wallets from their pockets before fleeing on foot toward Lakeland Road.

The first suspect is a black male, between 18 and 20-years-old. He is roughly 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a slim build. He was wearing dark clothing and was holding a semi-automatic gun.

The second suspect is a black male, between 18 and 20-years-old, and around 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighs around 200 pounds. He was wearing a red and white striped shirt with a red baseball cap.

The second incident occurred on the 5100 block of Navahoe Street at around 10:30 p.m.

Two victims, one of whom is a College Park resident, were walking on Navahoe Street when two suspects approached them from behind. One of the suspects pointed a gun at one victim's head. The other victim began screaming, at which point the suspects demanded that they stop screaming, and hand over their property. The victims complied, and the suspects proceeded to take each victim's cell phones and wallets, which combined, contained hudreds of dollars in cash, before fleeing on food toward Route 1.

The first suspect is a black male, between 18 and 22-years-old, and around 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing a grey tank top with dark pants, and has a black gun.

The second suspect was a black male, also between 18 and 22-years-old, and around 5 feet 7 inches tall. He was wearing dark clothing and has dreadlocks.
