TV, Laptops Stolen From 44th Avenue Home

University Park Police say the break-in happened Monday during daylight hours.

Numerous valuables were taken Monday when a residence in the 6600 block of 44th Ave. was burglarized, according to .

The occupants of the home returned from work around 4:45 p.m. to find that a rear kitchen window had been shattered and several items stolen, police said. 

A flat screen TV, jewelry, two laptop computers, and other electronics were reportedly removed from the house.

Prince George's County Police searched the scene for fingerprints and canvassed the area for witnesses. No suspects were found, but an investigation remains ongoing. 

Police are advising neighbors to contact the UPPD at 301-277-0050 if they have any information on the incident. Residents are also reminded to lock doors and first floor windows when they leave home.

Monday's incident is the second University Park burglary in recent weeks. On Aug. 13, a TV and several other valuables were stolen from a house in the 6500 block of Adelphi Road.
