Police Search for Three Suspects in Armed Robbery

Three suspects, at least two of whom were armed, disappeared down Calvert Road.

Two Prince George's County residents, one of whom is said to be a University of Maryland student, were robbed at gunpoint early Saturday morning in the parking lot behind Zips Dry Cleaning, and police have yet to find the suspects.

According to police, the two victims arrived in College Park around midnight to attend a function at Quality Inn. As the victims left their vehicles, they saw three men, two of whom were displaying handguns, heading toward the Quality Inn from the rear of Plato's Diner. The two victims fled across the street to the rear of Zips Dry Cleaning. The suspects chased and subsequently confronted them, demanded their property - which police said consisted of cell phones and cash - and proceeded to flee on foot onto Calvert Road.

Police cannot verify whether the same suspects are associated with the robbery that occurred Thursday night near Berwyn Road.
