Student who Threatened Shooting 'Rampage' Deemed Fit for Trial
Police say Alexander Song published threats online that he would go on a campus shooting rampage.
The student who police say threatened to go on a campus shooting rampage was deemed competent to stand trial Tuesday in Prince George’s County's Mental Health Court, The Washington Times reported.
On March 11, UMd. police traced threatening messages published online to 19-year-old sophomore Alexander Song, an honor society student at Maryland. The messages indicated he would carry out a shooting rampage on campus that week.
Song was sent to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation. , including misuses of electronic mail, false statement and disturbing the peace. (.)

Song was calm and composed in court on Tuesday, starkly contrasting others on the mental health docket who were brought into the courtroom, The Times reported.
