At 11:45 p.m. Thursday, a male University of Maryland student was robbed at knife point near Cecil Hall by two suspects. Read the original story below for more details of the incident.

Limansky said that he feels the university police have been doing a solid job of preventing armed robberies on campus.

“We’ve been in really good shape for a while given our location, just a few miles from D.C. with no fence around the campus. I think we’re doing a good job at deterring and preventing," he said.

Limansky said police will maintain an increased police presence near Cecil Hall.
