UPDATED: Stabbing in College Park

The stabbing occurred north of campus on Edgewood Road.

Updated Feb. 16, 9:39 a.m.:  Officers believe that the stabbing was a result of the dispute between two people who knew each other prior to the crime, said Cpl. Mike Rodriguez.

No arrests have been made, but the police department has a suspect and is in the process of obtaining an arrest warrent, said Rodriguez.

The victim, a male, is in stable condition, he added.

Officers arrived at the 4900 block of Edgewood Road, after they received a call around 8:13 p.m., Johnson said.

At this time, they are not releasing information about the victim and don’t have information on the suspect, other than the fact the victim knew the suspect, he added.
