Morning Accident Results in Injuries

A man and woman were trapped in their car after an accident on University Boulevard near Baltimore Avenue.

Just before 11 a.m. Monday, units from Branchville and Berwyn Heights Fire Department were alerted to a motor vehicle accident with people trapped on University Boulevard near Baltimore Avenue in College Park.

First arriving units reported  a car overturned with a male and female still in the vehicle. The crew from Berwyn Heights Rescue Squad 14 was able to free the two victims within 10 minutes. Both passengers were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
