Hearing Postponed for Student Charged in Shooting Rampage Threat

Alexander Song's court appearance is now scheduled for April 17.

A district court hearing for a student who police say threatened to go a campus shooting rampage has been postponed, The Gazette reported.

Over the weekend of March 10 and 11, Alexander Song allegedly posted comments on the news aggregation site reddit.com and chat room Omegle.com, that he planned to conduct a campus shooting, . Police charged Song with a misdemeanor on March 11.

Upon release from psychiatric evaluation on April 2, from the Office of the State's Attorney for Prince George's County, including misuse of electronic mail, false statement and disturbing the peace.

Song has been ordered to wear a GPS monitoring device, The Gazette reported. His Prince George's County District Court hearing has been postponed until 10:30 a.m. April 17 in Upper Marlboro, according to court documents.
