Police in New Carrollton are looking for a man they believe attempted to sexually assault a 9-year old boy Sunday morning along the busy 8400 block of Annapolis Road.
Authorities have not release the exact location of the assault, but police believe the suspect was captured from behind by a security camera at a 7-11 store at the corner of Annapolis Road and 85th Avenue, WJLA TV reports.
The suspect allegedly grabbed the boy and threw him on the ground. But, the boy fought back and was able to escape uninjured.
Police believe the suspect is a man in his 20s, about six feet tall, with a close-cropped beard. He was wearing red shorts and had some sort of yellow cartoon character on the front of his black shirt.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the Prince George's County police emergency communications center at (301) 352-1200, and then ask to speak with a New Carrollton police officer.
