Arrest Made in Connection with Northern College Park Burglaries

Two arrests were made in the past few days in connection with recent burglaries, The Diamondback reports.

An arrest was made on Friday in connection with recent burglaries in northern College Park, according to The Diamondback. The case is still being investigated.

Andre Gore, 32, handcuffed Tuesday, was arrested and charged with burglary and trespassing in the Knox Box apartment area.

The arrests come at a time when most crime rates in the area are falling, however, including property crime.

Maj. Hector Velez, the District 1 commander for the Prince George's County Police recently told College Park residents that at an Experience and Enjoy College Park event.

Violent crime was down 11.3 percent, and total crime rates fell 5.8 percent, he said.
