Arrest Made in College Park Armed Robberies

There were two armed robberies and one attempted armed robbery last week in College Park.

A Greenbelt man was charged in two armed robberies and an attempted armed robbery in College Park on Oct. 10, Prince George's County Police said.

Police arrested 17-year-old Nico Jaleel Robinson at him home in the 9200 block of Edmonston Rd. in the early morning hours of Sunday.

Investigators recovered a number of items inside the home that were related to the robberies, police said.

Robinson allegedly robbed a male University of Maryland student by holding him up at gunpoint on Oct. 10 around 8:30 p.m. near the 9100 block of Baltimore Ave. The man suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital by a family member.

The second incident occurred between 8:30 p.m. and 8:50 p.m. A suspect attempted to rob a second male UMD student in the 8200 block of Baltimore Ave.

In the third incident, a female UMD student was robbed at gunpoint around 8:50 p.m. in the 8200 block of Baltimore Ave. No other injuries were reported.

Robinson will be charged as an adult and is being held on a $200,000 bond for multiple armed robbery charges.
