Armed Robbery Occurred At M&T Bank on Knox Road

A man entered the bank with gun, demanded money, police say

Update: 2:15 p.m. Police say suspect took off on foot toward University Blvd. The money bag that the suspect stole contained a dye bag, which exploded. Suspect is likely covered in red dye, as is the money that was stolen.

An armed robbery occurred Thursday afternoon at the M&T Bank at 4511 Knox Road.

According to a police report, a suspect entered the bank at approximately 12:24 p.m., displayed a weapon, and demanded money. He received the bank funds and fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as being 25 - 30 years old, around 5 feet 6 inches tall and 120 - 130 pounds. He has short hair, a thin moustache, and was wearing a red cap, a white and blue striped polo shirt with the number "2" on the front, and shorts. He was armed with a black handgun.
