Stephan Weaver, who of first degree murder, assault and armed robbery in connection with the death of University of Maryland student Justin DeSha-Overcash, opted to waive his right to a preliminary hearing that was scheduled for Friday morning.

Weaver's case was one of around 40 others being heard on Friday. Judge Robert Heffron sped through most cases in under a minute, and Weaver's was no exception. The matter was closed within 30 seconds.
