Roger Lee Alton, 80, Former American Legion Commander

Alton passed away on Monday, Sept. 17.

Roger Lee Alton of College Park passed away on Monday, Sept. 17. He was 80.

Alton served in the U.S. Army in Japan during the Korean War and was a commander of American Legion Post 217 in College Park.

A memorial service will be held at the post (9218 Baltimore Ave., College Park) this Saturday, Sept. 22 at 11 a.m.
