DOGGIE DIVE-IN, BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER!

It has become an anticipated end-of-the-summer canine celebration.   Dogs were invited, for a last fling of the summer season, just after Labor Day when Ellen Linson Pool, on Paint Branch Parkway, closed to us two legged animals.

This year’s College Park Doggie Dive-In was bigger and better than ever!  On a crystal clear evening, more than 80 pups, of all shapes and sizes, came with their human companion(s) to splash in the pool or simply be a part of the fun.

Not every dog liked the water, but the social enthusiasm was pretty contagious.  Many dogs partied to the point of exhaustion, and provided some exercise for their pet parents and family members, as well.

Proceeds from the event benefit the rescued animals awaiting adoption, in The City of College Park Animal Shelter.  Thanks to pool personnel, members of The College Park Animal Welfare Committee, and to all those who rushed home from work, to give their pups an evening of pure joy.
