Petunia was born into a home that didn't understand cats. Her mother and her sister were allowed outside one night, and never returned home. Petunia, on the other hand, was happy to be inside and have the whole food bowl to herself. However, the family that had cared for Petunia said they were just too devastated by the loss to keep her. So, pretty Petunia, with her exotic pink and blue coat, came to live at the College Park Animal Shelter, to wait for a new family to realize what a special girl she is.
More recently, Petunia has been in foster care. Petunia’s foster reports that she has done an EXTRAORDINARY job of becoming part of a household.
“When she first came home with us, she was scared and would hide in the couch and only eat at night while we slept. Now she cuddles in our bed and she socializes with the other kittens (in our household). She is playful, and loves her little kitty jungle gym. She does not bother you as you eat, which is a plus for us since we already deal with other kittens trying to get our food!” In short, Petunia has blossomed!
