What Book or Books Have Changed Your Life? The CPCL Wants to Know

The CPCL wants to interview members of the College Park Community about the books that have had an impact on their lives.

For as long as I can remember, books have played a significant role in my life and have shaped the way I perceive and relate to the world. In fact, one of the reasons I started the College Park Community Library was to pay homage to their influence on my life and to create a space where they could potentially do the same for others.

I’ll spare you the list of books that have affected me in one way or another—I’ve done enough talking about books Now, I’d like to do some listening. I’d like to hear about the books that have inspired or impacted you.

Here is what I’m proposing:

I’d like to conduct one-on-one interviews* with members of the College Park Community about the books that have had an impact on their lives, and then share those interviews via a series of podcasts. I want to know: What book(s) changed your life? Why did it have such an effect on you? How have you applied what you learned from it in your life? Why should others read this book?

So, if there’s a book or books you’d like to talk about, send me an email with your name, contact information, and the name of the book or books that changed your life and we’ll set up a time to do the interview.

Thanks and, until next time, keep reading.

* The Fine Print: Depending on the volume of responses I receive from this invitation, I may not be able to do every interview. (We'll see how it goes.) I also reserve the right to pick and choose the interviews I conduct to reduce redundancy and highlight a diverse selection of books. All interviewees will have the chance to hear the podcast of their interview before it is posted.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
