UMD Dining Services and Event Planning Seminar Student Team host Meet and Greet Homegrown Eats

On Wednesday, April 30, University of Maryland Department of Dining Services will host a kick-off event for Terp Farm; the University’s new sustainable farming operation.


Enjoy food samples and watch cooking demonstrations by student volunteers and campus chefs. Sit back and enjoy live music performed by The Joe Martin Trio and The Bicycle Men, two local student bands. Join students from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources as they discuss their Terp Farm related projects.


Raffle prizes include a Vitamix blender donated by Dining Services and two concert tickets to see artist Iggy Azalea on May 2nd at The Filmore donated by 88.1 FM-WMUC “The Blender” radio program. This event was planned by students from the Department of Communication COMM 498G: Event Planning Seminar.
