Sustainable Airport Design
Joseph D. Navarrete, senior
program officer with the Transportation Research Board’s Airport Cooperative
Research Program (ACRP), will give a presentation
on how airports are addressing sustainability.
Airports are the critical focal
points of a dynamic aviation industry. No other industry has to respond to
changing technologies, regulations, security protocols, funding constraints,
and customer expectations to the degree that we see at airports. As the industry matures, it is faced with the
realization that it needs to be environmentally, financially, and socially sustainable.
