Deemed by some as

the “funniest, freshest face on television,” Amy Schumer is on the rise in the

world of comedy with her blend of honesty, and unapologetic sense of

humor.  After making her comic debut in

2007 on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” the Towson University alumna’s career has

skyrocketed, making waves on and off screen.

Schumer is currently the star of Comedy Central’s “Inside Amy Schumer,” which was recently renewed for a second season. She released her full-length special entitled “Mostly Sex Stuff” in August 2012, which became Comedy Central’s second highest rated special that year.

This is Schumer’s second national tour with Comedy Central, which kicks off on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014 in New York City at Best Buy Theater and travels to more than 30 cities. In between shows, Schumer is set to begin filming her newest movie project, “Trainwreck,” with Judd Apatow (Freaks and Geeks, Knocked Up) this spring. The film is set to release July 24, 2015.

Student Entertainment Events looks forward to hosting Schumer, as her stand-up performance will serve as one of its first large-scale shows headlined by a female performer in some years. Schumer’s provocative and hilariously wicked mind will be on full display as she explores topics revolving sex, relationships, and the general mishaps of life.
