Diwali Celebration - Where East Meets West - Hosted by the Meditation Museum

Join us for a special Diwali Celebration at the Cultural Arts Center, Montgomery College. The program will include classical and Indian dance, youth performances, singers, Raja Yoga Meditation, video presentations and an interfaith conversation with Sister Mohini, a spiritual leader for the women-led Brahma Kumaris with an impactful presence of silence. Diwali is the celebration of our Inner Light - light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance and it offers a beam of hope over despair.

Diwali, the “festival of lights” creates a magical world of joy and festivity. It marks a new beginning, a renewal of commitment to family values, and represents the universally revered values of love, reflection, forgiveness and knowledge. Diwali's underlying themes of peace and mutual respect have relevance and meaning for all.

The Meditation Museum is a small unique museum which invites visitors to enhance the quality of their thoughts, their lives and the world around them. The museum is specifically designed to bring us back to a knowledge of our true selves and our responsibility to humanity. Our hope is that everyone who experiences the museum finds his or her own authentic meaning for life. www.MeditationMuseum.org
