The number of outages in the area being reported on the Pepco outage map is falling.

As of 1 p.m., there were 1,484 homes and businesses still reporting no power in the College Park, Greenbelt and Riverdale Park areas. That's 534 fewer than were being reported at 10:45 a.m. Monday.

Zip codes 20710, 20712, 20722, 20780, 20781, 20782
As of 1 p.m., there were 875 homes and businesses still reporting no power in the cluster of zip codes on the Pepco map that include parts of Hyattsville, Riverdale Park and University Park. That's 190 fewer reports than at 10:45 a.m. Monday.

Welcome back! If you're reading this, there's a good chance that you're one of the 9,494 Pepco customers in the College Park, Riverdale Park, Greenbelt area who, according to the electric company's outage map, got their power back sometime between 6:15 p.m. Sunday and 9:30 a.m. Monday.

There are still 2,104 customers in the area (zip codes 20737, 20740, 20742 and 20770) reporting outages.

The anger and frustration toward Pepco is evident, but what are we so angry about?
